Timing: 4 sessions
- I read Shark in the Park and Shark in the Dark both books by Nick Sharrat. Two weeks ago some students of Year 6 asked me to tell them the books that are colourful, childish, and funny.
- I explained them that we could make a Digital Story based on those books.
- I showed them a Prezi presentation to know what we were going to need and use...
- In a Paddlet we chose and wrote the title and the scenes/slides of the digital story.
- We decided the materials/things we needed and who would bring them next day.
- In pairs students did the storyboard: they sketched the scene/slide, they wrote the text and decided if they had to record the voice, if they had to insert some music, the settings where they would take the pictures...
- The teacher made a video sample to show the students the artifact they were going to make. I told the students that we would use Stupeflix.com to create the video. In this web you can edit videos, you can add pictures, music, text...
- Steps 9 and 10 were made in small groups: Some students recorded the voices, some of them wrote the text, some of them took the pictures and edited them, some students chose some pictures from Google Images...
- The students brought the things and took pictures for the digital story. They edited the pictures using the photoeditor PicMonkey.
- They chose the music, they recorded the audio files and finally they made the video: online-voice-recorder.com
